Ukrainian Culture Day 2026

Organised by the Ukrainian Society of Hong Kong, UKRAINIAN CULTURE DAY is back on August 22, 2026 (Sat) in the Goethe-Gallery and Black Box Studio of the Institut. Comprising two embroidery exhibitions, a Ukrainian handicraft bazaar, workshops, and a live music performance, the event aims to support people affected by the war in Ukraine.

Admission to the bazaar is free and tickets for the live music performances are available at Eventbrite.

The event celebrates Ukrainian embroidery (вишивка / vyshyvka) as a living symbol of Ukrainian cultural identity and artistic heritage. It positions embroidery not just as a craft, but as a powerful language that carries centuries of history, regional diversity, family stories, and spiritual symbolism.
