Library Lab 2026 © Novemberstudio/Jungjae Park

Our library is a vibrant place where people not only read books, but also gather new information and knowledge, meet others, engage in exchange, and gain diverse experiences. We invite you to actively shape the library yourself for two weeks and to offer your own programs. Whether workshops, small exhibitions, curated thematic spaces, or new ideas for the summer – we look forward to your proposals.

Since 2023, the library of the Goethe-Institut Korea has transformed each summer into a special themed space:

in 2023, it became the Infinite Library, a multimedia installation combining virtual reality with other media; in 2024—coinciding with UEFA EURO 2024—a football stadium; and in 2025, a Bauhaus workshop.

This year, we are launching the Library Lab to expand the ways the library can be used and to explore new formats together.

You are familiar with our library, but would like to do something completely different with the space? Do you have an idea of what summer in the library could look like—would you like to redesign, curate, or add to it, or offer a workshop or a small exhibition?

Then send us your proposal and apply!
