Program of Care

“Live with Art: Reflect yourself through art for women”

This is the third part of the ‘Program of Care’ workshop series, which has been initiated by the Goethe-Institut Myanmar. The idea for the workshop emerged from conversations with partners, colleagues and friends. Together, we identified the importance and the need to care of each other and oneself in times of uncertainty. We therefore wish to provide the space and possibility to tackle a multiplicity of difficulties people might face in their day-to-day lives through psychosocial and expressive art practice techniques.
During this workshop, you learn to use art as a tool for self-reflection and for promoting resilience. By expressing your feeling through colors, by creating unconscious artworks and through meditation you can learn to accept and hold your energy.
The workshop will be presented in Myanmar language by Su Htwe Aung, the founder of Kalasa Art Space. The workshop is free of charge and will be running for 5 times to facilitate easy access for all audiences. To sign up, please send an email to

Space O‘3: Pop-up Art & Cultural Space

People in the artistic and cultural fields in Myanmar are currently facing a lack of reliable electricity, internet access and spaces to continue their practice. This is why Goethe-Institut Myanmar has created SPACE O‘3, which provides uninterrupted electricity and covers basic technical requirements where artists and cultural practitioners can meet and create together.
The room can be rented free of charge and can host up to (15) persons. There are basic office supplies such as tables, chairs, internet access, as well as an LED Screen for presentations and screening purposes. A small library with art books in English, Burmese and German is also built-in and can be freely accessed while using the room.
