Orientation Session of ‘Program of Care 2.0’

We are happy to announce that ‘Program of Care 2.0’ will continue this year in collaboration with our partners. With the idea of sharing and caring, the ‘Program of Care’ provides space and & the possibility to tackle a multiplicity of difficulties people might face in their day-to-day lives through psychosocial and expressive art practice techniques. Effective and therapeutic music and art workshops will be open to everyone in different age ranges of women and children.

The ‘Program of Care 2.0’ orientation session will be held on 26.02.2023 at 10:30 am. Everyone is welcome to join the session with free admission at Goethe-Institut Myanmar’s Auditorium.
The workshop leaders from Art, Music, and Youth Development backgrounds will discuss interesting and practical challenges from different perspectives. Details of the orientation session will be announced soon on all our social media channels. To explore more information, we would like to invite you to join us.

Evolution of Myanmar Abstract Art Exhibition & Book Launch

If you are fond of Myanmar Abstract Art, this is a must for your visit. We are hosting ‘Blank Face’ for their ‘Evolution of Myanmar Abstract Art Exhibition’ from 20th to 24th February 2023. The Blank Face Art group has been researching the Myanmar Abstract Art movement and using the findings of this in-depth research, and will produce a book for art lovers in Myanmar as well. The exhibition will follow the Book Launch on the closing day at Goethe-Institut Myanmar Library. More details will announce through the social media channels of Goethe-Institut Myanmar and the Blank Face art group.

German Language Courses

German Language Classes in February

Start learning the German language at the Goethe-Institut Myanmar. Our German language courses are international recognized. We use a system based on six levels, so it is easy to get started and easy to track your progress. We offer German language courses both online and in-person starting this February. Registration is open from 6.2.2023 to 17.2.2023. Please contact us - info.language.mmr@goethe.de.

Goethe-Zertifikat Exams in February

If you require documentation of your German Language skills, the Goethe-Institut can supply you with certificates to verify your German language proficiency. Goethe-Institut Myanmar is offering Goethe-Zertifikat exams in February! Registration is open from 6.1.2023 - 16.1.2023. Please check our schedule and register - info.language.mmr@goethe.de!

Study in Germany : Online Q & A Session

Goethe-Institut Myanmar offers Education Advisory Service for those interested in or preparing to study in Germany. In addition, the Study in Germany Q & A session will hold monthly starting February 2023. 

You will get a chance to ask about the universities in Germany, subjects, the application process, tuition fees, scholarships, and part-time jobs. Our education services coordinator, Kerstin Unseld will give the advisory service together with Chan Hsu Nyein, our language teacher, on February 8, 2023, from 2 pm to 3 pm via Zoom Meeting. 

We will only accept (5) participants for each session, and if you are interested, please register asap. Those who register beyond the specified number of participants will keep on the Waiting List for the following months.

"Yoga & Movement" program for children and youth

"Yoga & Movement" program for children and youth

This program is the first event for the “Children & Youth Program” organized by the Goethe-Institut Myanmar Library. There will be a variety of fun activities that will be led by the teachers from wee care Children & Youth Development Center.
 
In this program, Participants will be grouped according to age:
 
Group A – Ages 6 to 11 years old
Group B – Ages 12 to 15 years old
 
Admission is free. Those who want to participate have to bring their own yoga mats.
 
Due to the limited number of places, if you want to register, please enroll via 01 9376160 (ext. 301/302) during the library’s opening hours or via email biblio-yangon@goethe.de by providing your Name, Age, Contact number and Email address.
 
Leseclub - reading club

”LESECLUB” program

We wish to introduce a new program for everyone who is currently learning German or who already has knowledge of the German language can join. This program is a reading club called - "Leseclub". In this program, people who love reading will meet and this will be led by an experienced teacher from Goethe-Institut Myanmar. You will read easy reader books (A2/ B1/ B2) chosen by the teacher, and these will be interesting stories which are easy to understand. You don't need to bring anything to participate in this program. “LERNBERATUNG” program

The Goethe-Institut Myanmar's language department and the library will organize a program called "Lernberatung" for our students. In this program, our teacher Nan Htwe will be available to answer your questions and to help you with any difficulties you might be experiencing while learning German. Only six persons are allowed to join at a time, so anyone interested should register in advance via mail at biblio-yangon@goethe.de or in person at the lending desk. For registration, please provide your name, contact number, your German proficiency level, a question that you would like to ask, as well as the date you wish to attend.
