International Women’s Day 2023

Starting from the 8th of March, the International Women’s Day, we at Goethe-Institut Myanmar would like to bring out a series of programs throughout the whole of March to appreciate the achievements of women in different sectors of the country. The following programs will be hosted at our institute as mentioned. Please come and join us in celebrateing all the women around us.

German Language Courses

Start learning German language systematically at the Goethe-Institut Myanmar! Our German language courses are based on the six levels defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Our courses are thereby internationally recognised and comparable. Goethe-Institut Myanmar is offering German language courses both online and offline through in-person classes in March.
Registration is open from 27.2.2023 to 8.3.2023. For any inquiry please contact us via info.language.mmr@goethe.de.

Goethe-Zertifikat Exams

Do you need documented proof of your German language skills that are recognised all over the world? The Goethe-Institut’s certificates are accepted around the world as verification of your language capabilities. Goethe-Institut Myanmar is offering Goethe-Zertifikat exams in March! Registraion is opened from 6.3.2023 - 16.3.2023. Please check our schedule and register via info.language.mmr@goethe.de!

Study in Germany

Are you interested in Germany? Can you imagine studying, living, or even working in Germany? 
Then welcome to the event „Study in Germany”!
The event will take place on the 11th of March 2023 (01:30 – 06:15 pm) at Goethe-Institut Myanmar.
 - Representatives from the German Embassy, DAAD, and Goethe-Institut Myanmar will give informative presentations and Q&A sessions about „Study in Germany“.
 - Students currently studying at a German university will share their experience with you.
 This event is open to all and no registration is needed.

FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH

“WOMEN IN STEM” PROGRAM

In celebrating the International Women’s Day on March 8th, the next event from the Children and Youth Program will be "Women in STEM". The teachers from wee care Children & Youth Development Center will share interesting knowledge about the International Women's Day through programs and activities that are easy for children to understand, and partake in.

We will do the STEM activities as a group. Small game sessions are designed to teach children about the International Women’s Day. It will be fun, and we invite you to come and join us!
In this program, Participants will be grouped according to age:
Group A – Ages 6 to 11 years old
Group B – Ages 12 to 15 years old

“LESECLUB” program

We wish to introduce a new program where anyone who is currently learning German or who already has knowledge of the German language can participate. This program is a reading club called - "Leseclub". In this program, people who love reading will meet and be led by an experienced teacher from Goethe-Institut Myanmar. You will read easy reader books (A2/ B1/ B2) chosen by the teacher, providing interesting stories which are easy to understand. You don't need to bring anything to participate in this program. “LERNBERATUNG” program

The Goethe-Institut Myanmar's language department and the library will organize a program called "Lernberatung" for our students. In this program our teacher Nan Htwe will be available to answer your questions and to help you with any difficulties you might experience while learning German. Only six persons can to join at a time, hence anyone who is interested should register in advance via mail biblio-yangon@goethe.de or in person at the lending desk. For registration please provide your name, contact number, your German proficiency level, a question that you would like to ask, as well as the date you wish to attend.

“BOARD GAME FRIDAY!”

Would you like to practice your German by playing fun German board games?

The Goethe-Institut Myanmar's language department and the library are now organizing a program called “Board Game Friday” for our students. In this program, you can not only learn and practice German with a teacher, but you can also enjoy playing games with your friends.

This program will be held once a month at the Goethe-Institut Myanmar library. Only six persons can to join at a time, so anyone who is interested should register in advance via mail biblio-yangon@goethe.de or in person at the lending desk.
