Stress Management Sessions - An Introduction to YES!+ Workshop

We are pleased to inform you that "Stress Management Sessions - An Introduction to YES!+ Workshop", in collaboration with Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre of the Embassy of India, is just around the corner. This workshop is the fourth part of the 'Program of Care 2.0' workshop series, initiated by Goethe-Institut Myanmar. 

To get the most out of life, we need to increase energy, conserve the energy we have, and manage our time well. This workshop teaches us to be productive and dynamic while staying calm and centered. During this workshop, you can learn energizing breathing techniques, yoga, meditation, and some easy ways to manage stress. Why should you join this workshop?
* To decrease stress with our 'Yogic Coffee' deep breathing technique.
* To handle fear and worry with an insight into the '3 tendencies of the mind'.
* To come into the present moment with a 15-minute Live guided meditation.
* To get introduced to Sudarshan Kriya™, a world-renowned breathing technique by The Art of Living, and free, practical, and concise guidance to say bye-bye to stress. 

This workshop will be led by Mr. Ritam Khan, a teacher from the Embassy of India, Yangon. Anyone between the ages of 18 and 30 is welcome to join the workshop, and admission is free. Mindfulness and Expressive Art for Children & Youth (Part 2)


Greetings, children and youths! We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to all of you to join our upcoming workshop. A workshop called "Mindfulness and Expressive Art for Children & Youth (Part 2)" will be held soon, which is the fifth part of our "Program of Care 2.0" workshop series. 

During this workshop, children will learn simple and effective ways to achieve mindfulness in everyday life and relieve stress and negative energy. This workshop will also encourage them to understand their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. By creating objects and images, they can reflect deeply about themselves concerning their social climate, habituate peace of mind, learn self-care, and solve problems calmly. 

Participants will be grouped according to age. Admission is free. The open call for ‘Expanded Curatorial Practice & Exhibition Making’ training has closed with massive applications on July 24. Sixteen applicants will be selected out of several interesting applications. The selected applicants will be granted the chance to join the training and receive a joint grant to produce the exhibition project with assigned groups of participants.

“READING CLUB” Program

Are you looking for a fun way to improve your language skills? Look no further than our reading club! Join us for a great time with friends, where we will explore a variety of easy reader books and expand our vocabulary.

This time, the reading club, which everyone enthusiastically participates in, will meet twice for our readings and is led by an experienced teacher from Goethe-Institut Myanmar. On the first day of the program, we will take turns reading a book, then exchanging our thoughts and opinions on how we understood the stories. This program will happen in both Burmese and German. On the second day, we will continue to read and discuss parts from the book we have enjoyed reading during the last two weeks.

BOARD GAME FRIDAY!

The program is held once a month at the Goethe-Institut Myanmar library - "Board Game Friday", this month, you don't have to play the board games from our library; you can bring your favorite board games and enjoy them with your friends.
