The Successful Journey of the “Woven Paths of Inclusivity” Initiative
The Woven Paths of Inclusivity initiative, launched by the Goethe-Institut Myanmar and supported by the German Embassy, successfully established vital community networks for Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) between October and December 2025. By partnering with six key organisations— Aye Myitta Disabled Centre, Eden Centre for Disabled Children, Lighthouse Learning Centre, Myanmar Christian Fellowship of the Blind, Myanmar Deaf Chefs, and Myanmar Down Syndrome Association —the program addressed critical advocacy gaps for disability awareness and inclusion.
Beyond penal discussions, workshops and networking, the initiative significantly enhanced the visibility of the PWD community by amplifying personal stories and showcasing overlooked potential. By creating safe spaces for self-expression, the program fostered a more supportive and integrated society. We remain deeply grateful to our partners and reaffirm our long-term commitment to advancing inclusivity and sustainable support networks across Myanmar.

Christmas Bazaar 2025 – Thank You for Being with Us
On 7 December 2025, the Goethe-Institut Myanmar was filled with festive spirit as we hosted this year’s Christmas Bazaar, welcoming over 1,100 visitors and bringing together 58 vendors, community partners, performers, and visitors for a day of creativity, inclusion, and connection.
We are especially grateful to the German Embassy team and Goethe-Institut German language students, who raised funds during the event. The proceeds will be distributed to selected inclusion partner organisations, supporting their important community-based work.
Thank you to everyone who contributed to making the Bazaar a warm, meaningful, and successful community event.

Art Exhibition
Recap: Within & Beyond – Reimagining Art across Distances
The exhibition Within & Beyond: Reimagining Art across Distances, resulting from a contemporary art project initiated and organized by Goethe-Institut Myanmar, was held at Goethe-Institut Myanmar from December 12 to 18.
The exhibition featured the works of eight Myanmar artists currently based in Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, France, the Czech Republic, and Sweden, and was co-curated by three Myanmar curators.
The exhibited artworks engaged with the concept of “distance and disconnection,” examining its effects and the transformations resulting from separation and disrupted connections, as well as the forms of connection, engagement, understanding, and shared sensibilities that can nonetheless emerge across distances.

Academy of Care (AoC) – Project Wrap Up 2024–2025
The Academy of Care (AoC) 2024–2025 project cycle comes to a close with a strong foundation of learning, collaboration, and community-based impact. Over the past two years, AoC has continued to strengthen trauma-informed, creative, and inclusive mental well-being practices through structured training, alumni support, supervision, and peer learning.
During this period, AoC supported 3 cohorts, reaching a total of 43 practitioners, facilitators, and community workers. Participants were supported to design and implement grassroots initiatives that respond to local needs with care, ethics, and creativity. Alumni-led projects, continuous skill up learning sessions, and supervision spaces contributed to sustained practice, critical reflection, and professional growth.
As this project phase concludes, AoC remains committed to building on these learnings, strengthening alumni networks, and advancing long-term, community-rooted approaches to care and resilience. We extend our sincere thanks to all trainers, alumni, partners, and collaborators who made the 2024–2025 AoC journey meaningful and impactful. In the next phase, the Academy of Care will enter its new chapter in 2026. Further updates will be shared in due course.
