Please be informed that Goethe-Institut Myanmar, including our office, library, language courses, and cultural programs, will be closed for the Thingyan holidays from 9 April to 22 April 2026.

World Ocean Day 2026

World Ocean Day 2026 Programme

We are pleased to announce that, on the occasion of World Ocean Day on 8 June, a series of workshops and programmes will be organized through a collaboration between Goethe-Institut Myanmar and the Myanmar Ocean Project.

Beginning in May, these activities aim to encourage greater participation of young people in the protection and conservation of the oceans’ beauty, natural resources, and ecosystems.
Further details of the programmes will be shared through the social media channels of Goethe-Institut Myanmar.

In May, the German courses at the Goethe-Institut Myanmar will begin for Term 3.
 
Start learning the German language systematically at the Goethe-Institut Myanmar! Our German language courses are based on the six levels defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Our courses are thereby internationally recognized and comparable.
