Please be informed that Goethe-Institut Myanmar, including our office, library, language courses, and cultural programs, will be closed for the Thingyan holidays from 9 April to 22 April 2026.

We will resume our regular operations and respond to all your inquiries again as of 23 April 2026. Thank you for your kind understanding and continued support during this period.

As part of the Academy of Care 2026–2029 chapter, funded by the European Union, Goethe-Institut Myanmar, together with its partner, is expanding the AoC team. Following the start of our recruitment process in February, we are now inviting applications for further positions.

We are pleased to announce that, on the occasion of World Ocean Day on 8 June, a series of workshops and programmes will be organized through a collaboration between Goethe-Institut Myanmar and the Myanmar Ocean Project.

Beginning in May, these activities aim to encourage greater participation of young people in the protection and conservation of the oceans’ beauty, natural resources, and ecosystems.
Further details of the programmes will be shared through the social media channels of Goethe-Institut Myanmar.

In May, the German courses at the Goethe-Institut Myanmar will begin for Term 3.

Exciting news for those looking to enhance their German reading skills! The monthly "Reading Club/Leseclub" is here to help expand your vocabulary and usage.

This month's program is aimed for the participants at the A1 Level. On both days, we will read the same book together with the teacher. The purpose is to nurture effective reading habits for readers; hence, we encourage you to participate in both sessions. In the "Learning Advisory" Program, you will be assisted with any challenges you may encounter in your German studies.
