AoC Alumni Gathering: Connecting, Learning, and Collaborating

In August, AoC Yangon hosted alumni for an online meeting to reconnect, share updates, and strengthen collaboration across the AoC community. The gathering also marked an important step in the development of the upcoming AoC Creative Care Hub, a dedicated space for workshops, training, and community learning activities.

Alumni shared ideas and feedback on supervision, future training priorities, and workshop topics, including trauma-informed practice, time management, and creative therapeutic approaches.

We look forward to creating new spaces for learning, exchange, and connection through the AoC Hub in the months ahead.

Towards Empathy

From Inquiry to Presentation

Having journeyed over the past two years, the Towards Empathy Project has brought together partner organizations and individual collaborators from diverse fields, along with invited curators, to jointly develop and realize various forms of presentations centered on empathy.

In the coming months, audiences will have the opportunity to see how collaborators and partners from local, regional, and international communities, representing different disciplines and contexts, approach and discuss empathy from different perspectives, and how they will communicate and present these ideas to the public through a wide range of forms and expressions.

We invite you to look forward to the final presentation of the Towards Empathy Project, where art, literature, music, and various creative works will come together. At the same time, we will continue to share the insights, perspectives, and explorations that participants have engaged in throughout this two-year journey.

Traces and Thresholds

The exhibition will be open to the public on the following dates:
Date: 26.09.2026 - 27.09.2026
Time: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Our Annual Retreat Day

Looking Back – Looking Forward

In August, our team gathered for our annual Retreat Day (Klausurtag). As Goethe-Institut Myanmar prepares for an upcoming leadership transition, this retreat provided a vital opportunity to reflect on our journey and strategize for the next chapter. Through an interactive World Café format, colleagues from across all departments collaborated to outline our priorities for the coming year—focusing on internal communication, youth programming, sustainability, cultural heritage, and our Academy of Care (funded by the European Union) initiatives. We are grateful for our team's collaborative spirit and excited about the forward momentum we have built together.
