If you can’t find our app under the name BibToGo, try searching for Goethe-Institut. If you still do not find it, please bear in mind that BibToGo is only available in countries where Goethe-Institut libraries already offer this service. You have to use the app store of that country. If you are unsure, don’t hesitate to contact us via our support form.
No. “Mein Goethe.de” is the central login you use to access all of Goethe-Institut’s digital offerings. You can also log in to BibToGo via Mein Goethe.de. If you do not yet have an account for Mein Goethe.de, you can set it up when you set up the app.
You can reset your password in the login mask of BibToGo in case you have forgotten it. If you do not have an account with Mein Goethe.de yet, please register in the login mask of BibToGo.
You can register for library use in BibToGo under “My Library Card”. Alternatively, you can register online. General information about library membership conditions can be found here on our website.
After you have installed the app, you need to personally check with library staff in order to activate the personalized functions of the app. You can do so on your next visit to our library. This is a one-time procedure and will take only a few minutes.

You need to activate the app first. After that, go to the “My Account” menu and find the “Renew” section in the “Checked out” column. Check the items you want to extend, and then click “renew selected” or “renew all” (if you want to extend all your loans). Please also read the library regulations about extending your loan.
Even if you are offline, you can access your digital library card. To do so, simply open the app and then click on the library card icon located under the red bar. The digital ID card will then open, allowing you to borrow media from the library.
No, unfortunately this is not possible. You can only borrow media in your “home” library. If you want to borrow media at another Goethe-Institut, please check with the local staff.
You can read e-books and other digital media through the Onleihe integrated into the BibToGo app. A guide in BibToGo will show you how to activate the Onleihe if necessary. Simply follow the instructions.
