Colette Sarjano Utama

Colette Sarjano Utama is a fine arts practitioner-researcher with an Irish-Javanese background, graduated from Liverpool John Moores University (BA Hons 2021), and Ruskin School of Art Oxford (MFA, 2022) and studied at Städelschule, Frankfurt (Klasse Monika Baer, 2022-2024). Her research and work trace the material and immaterial transmission, circulation and individuation of memory, desire, and knowledge across time and space. Using simple gestures as both object and method, her multidisciplinary practice addresses ideas relating to philosophies of language and embodied experience, dynamic processes, and informal structures of exchange.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Resonant Assembly
An informal cooking session that explored food as a medium for community building, cultural exchange, and the preservation of personal and collective memories. The event was held at the rooftop of Lostgen’s Contemporary Arts Space on the 26 October 2025.
