Bodo Kirchhoff

(born 06.07.1948 in Hamburg), author, screenwriter.

Bodo Kirchhoff studied psychology and sociology in Frankfurt and worked for a short time as a curative teacher before becoming a self-employed writer. He has written essays, reportages, short stories, plays, screenplays and novels. His first work, Zwiefalten, was published in 1983. Bodo Kirchhoff's publications have won many awards. In 2012, his novel Die Liebe in groben Zügen was longlisted for the German Book Prize, and four years later he received the Book Prize for his novel Widerfahrnis. Bodo Kirchhoff lives in Frankfurt am Main and on Lake Garda, Italy.
