Helmut Krausser
(born 11.07.1964 in Esslingen am Neckar), writer, composer.
Helmut Krausser began studying archaeology, theatre studies and art history in Munich. His debut novel Könige über dem Ozean was published in 1989. In addition to novels, Helmut Krausser also writes short stories, poems, radio plays, stage works and has published numerous diaries. In 1993 he received the Toucan Prize of the City of Munich, and in 2017 he was nominated for the German Film Award for a screenplay based on his novel Einsamkeit und Sex und Mitleid (1999). Helmut Krausser lives in Rome and Potsdam.
