Nicol Ljubić spent his childhood in Sweden, Greece, Russia and Germany. He studied political science in Bremen. He received the Theodor Wolff Prize in 2005 for a reportage in DIE ZEIT. His novel Meeresstille, published in 2010, was awarded the Adelbert von Chamisso Prize, among others, and was on the longlist for the German Book Prize. Nicol Ljubić lives in Berlin
