Pierre Jarawan
(born: 1985 in Amman, Jordan), Author, Slam Poet
Pierre Jarawan moved to Germany at the age of three with his Lebanese father and German mother. He has performed on poetry slam stages since 2009, won the Baden-Württemberg state championship in 2011, and became International German-speaking Master in 2012. In 2011 he published selected stage texts in book form: Anders sein ist ganz normal and, together with Dominik Bartels, Etwas ist faul im Staate. His first novel, The Storyteller, was published in 2016. The work was awarded the Bavarian Art Prize. Pierre Jarawan lives in Munich.
