Maxim Leo
(born 30.01.1970 in East Berlin), journalist, writer.
Maxim Leo studied political science in Berlin and Paris. He worked as a news editor for various media. He became known through his joint column with Jochen Gutsch Leo/Gutsch. Das Leben als Mann. With Jochen Gutsch he also published the book Single-family: zwei Männer-zwei Welten. 66 wahre Geschichten (2005). Maxim Leo's sole book debut is the autobiographical East German family story Haltet euer Herz bereit (2009). Two years later he was awarded the European Book Prize for it. Maxim Leo lives in Berlin.
