Harald Jähner

After his degree in literary studies, history and art history in Freiburg and doctorate in Berlin, Harald Jähner worked as a freelance journalist for various media. From 2003 to 2015 he was head of the culture supplement at the Berliner Zeitung. He lectured in culture journalism at the University of the Arts Berlin. In 2019 he published the non-fiction work Wolfszeit. Deutschland und die Deutschen 1945 – 1955 (Aftermath), for which he received the Leipzig Book Fair Prize.
