Karen Köhler
(born 1974 in Hamburg), writer, actress.
Karen Köhler studied acting in Bern and worked as an actress for many years before turning to writing. In addition to several plays, the screenplay Cowboy & Indianer (2019), the story collection Wir haben Raketen geangelt was published in 2014 and her debut novel Miroloi in 2019. The novel made it onto the longlist of the German Book Prize. She has been awarded the Otfried Preußler Children's Play Prize, the Rauriser Literature Prize and was nominated for the German Screenplay Prize, among others. Karen Köhler lives in Hamburg.
