Mai Thi Nguyen-Kim

(born 07.08.1987 in Heppenheim), science journalist, presenter, author.

Mai Thi Nguyen-Kim studied chemistry in Mainz and at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a PhD in Potsdam. In 2016, she established the YouTube channel schönschlau, later renamed maiLab. She also hosts various science shows. In 2019, her book Komisch, alles chemisch! was published and became a hit with the public. Mai Thi Nguyen-Kim has won science slams and several other prizes, including the Grimme Online Award, the Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize for Science Journalism, the Webvideopreis Deutschland and the Heinz Oberhummer Award for Science Communication.
