Kristof Magnusson
(born 04.03.1976 in Hamburg), writer, translator.
After training as a church musician, Kristof Magnusson studied at the German Literature Institute in Leipzig, as well as scenic writing at the Berlin University of the Arts and Icelandic literature in Reykjavik. He first wrote plays. His very successful play Männerhort (2002) was performed at over 80 theatres in Germany and abroad. In 2005, his debut novel Zuhause was published and received the Rauris Literature Prize. Kristof Magnusson also works as a translator from Icelandic and has received numerous grants for this as well as for his writing. He lives in Berlin.
