Do you have a project that rethinks the way journalism is done? Do you enjoy developing new ways of telling stories, reaching your audience or making journalistic work sustainable? Then we would like to get to know your project.
As part of MediaCon 2025, you can now apply for a special Pecha Kucha session dedicated to innovative projects in the field of journalism. This presentation format - 20 slides, 20 seconds per slide - is directly and visually designed to convey ideas quickly and engagingly.
Who is the target group?
Journalists, students, researchers, designers, programmers, entrepreneurs and all those involved in initiatives that are changing journalism in its various dimensions.
What type of projects are we looking for?
Proposals will be accepted at various stages of development, from prototypes to ongoing initiatives. Projects are not exclusively limited to these examples, but can deal with the following topics:
- Digital platforms or new storytelling formats
- Local, collaborative or community journalism
- Creative use of technology, data or artificial intelligence
- New business and financing models for journalism
- Projects with a focus on diversity, inclusion or social impact
How can I apply?
Submission of an application with
- A short project description (max. 1,000 characters)
- The current development status of the project
- A short biographical note
- Optional: links or images to illustrate the project
