Alexandru Gorghe, (b. 1999, Botosani, Romania) is a young writer. He is studying for a BA at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London (2019-2022). He started acting, directing and writing in high school, as part of the young theatre company Atelierul de Teatru Botoșani. He has written several plays that have been performed in Romanian theatres: The Boy with Pink Socks (Băiatul cu șosete roz) - performed at Excelsior Theatre; My Mother's Dog (Câinele mamei mele) - a reading performance that was presented at Replika Educational Theatre Centre and I'm ashamed (Mi-e rușine) - another performance that was performed at Replika Educational Theatre Centre, for which Alexandru not only wrote the dramaturgy but also directed. In 2022 he published his debut novel, Son of Cruelty (Fiul cruzimii), with Creator Publishing House.
