Meet the SIKKA Team

SIKKA consists of nine members, who started working together in Sudan in 2022 and are now spread in five countries. All team members witnessed the 2019 sit-in firsthand and have been involved in the unfolding events. They contribute to this platform not only through their journalistic expertise, but also through their individual experience being part of the Sudanese revolution and witnessing the dramatic aftermath. After the violent crackdown of the sit-in, the removal of the civil political fraction from the transitional government, the approval of the project SIKKA in 2022 gave hope and motivated the editorial team in their continuous struggle to be part of a pluralistic and civil based society.

Mohamed Munaf - Doha, Qatar 

Media Labs Project Manager (SIKKA) and an expert in programming and graphic design. 

Mujahid Eldouma - Doha, Qatar 

Writer, journalist, and translator, interested in Arts and social sciences. 

Hassan Adil - Dubai, UAE 

Digital marketing & E commerce specialist and the moderator of SIKKA’s team. 

Alsadig Yaseen - Kampala, Uganda 

A writer and researcher in cultural production, he employs his efforts in writing articles and texts, and editing writings for audio and visual materials. 

Fatma Altigany - Ajman, UAE 

Journalist and communication officer and coordination of efforts between the SIKKA platform team and cultural actors and creators. 

Mamoun Eltlib - Zanzibar 

A poet, writer and a cultural editor in many newspapers and magazines. 

Nashwa Siraj Eldin Bardab - Ajman, UAE 

Graphic Designer and Motion Graphic is responsible for the production of multimedia design within the SIKKA team 

Samah Hassan Magbool Mohamed - Sharjah, UAE 

Supervising physiotherapist and assistant of the SIKKA project interested in art, music and culture. 

Mohamed Ismail Mohamed (Teyor) - Uganda, Kampala 

Filmmaker, wildlife photographer, and camping lover. 

Basel Hassan - Riyadh, Saudia Arabia 

Scene creator, the manufacturer of audiovisual content, is working to include his experience within SIKKA's work system.
