This test is designed to evaluate your German skills, whether you are experienced or just starting to learn the language. As well as giving you an initial idea of how well you can understand written and spoken German, the following questions will test your knowledge of German grammar and vocabulary.

If you wish to enroll in a German course at the Goethe-Institut or at one of our partner institutions, we will also assess your German language skills on site.

For internationally recognised proof of German language proficiency, we recommend taking our official Goethe-Zertifikat exams, which are available for levels A1 to C2.
