The origins of comics in Africa

From rock painting to the first comic in Switzerland, to the modern comic. The fascination with "comics" spread quickly, especially across Europe and America, but first came to Africa mainly through colonization. There, they were first published in newspapers. For a long time they represented only the white colonists to entertain the troops on the war grounds but eventually developed to the point of representing black people in African comics.
The beginnings of the comic scene in Burkina Faso were mainly in local newspapers, but today they are much more widespread through several publishers. The second part of the video describes in detail the comic production in several steps and also highlights the importance of the cover page.
