BTO: Built-To-Owner

Exploring the future of one-person households, BTO: Built-to-Owner is a collection of short poems paired with illustrations that revolve around the relationships between four smart household items and their respective owners. It questions and reimagines the seemingly endless possibilities of technology, including becoming intuitive sources of emotional support, providing companionship.

Cass Zheng

Cass is a poet who draws sometimes. Previously published in the anthologies, 'Anima Methodi: The Poetics of Mirroring' and 'Atelier of Healing: Poetry About Trauma & Recovery', her work revolves around streams of consciousness, living spaces and dreams across the four languages ​​she speaks. Borrowing inspiration from her quadrilingual background, her writing involves themes that trespass geographical boundaries. Currently a senior at Singapore Management University, she has a small dream to graduate and a bigger dream to publish her own collection someday.
