Karriere Quantum Camp 2025
The camp was organised in close collaboration with ourBerlin-based partner TüftelLab, who conducted the quantum workshops and offered participants exciting insights into current developments and creative applications of quantum technologies. These were complemented by interactive German language sessions for the students, while the teachers took part in the Teacher Ambassadors’ Programme. There they developed quantum-related projects to implement in their own classrooms – even those who don’t teach physics. The camp week was also shaped by cultural highlights: On Tuesday, participants explored the urban art scene during a Graffiti Tour in East London. On Wednesday, they visited the Science Museum, where they experienced science in an engaging and hands-on way.
Each camp week concludes with the closing event, where participants get the opportunity to present their results to external guests and apply their newly acquired knowledge in a panel discussion. The grand finale was the Quantum Disco on Friday – an innovative event hosted by Imperial College London, combining science, music, dance, and light art. It provided a creative platform for participants to celebrate and reflect on the week together.
Thanks to the support of the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space, and the collaboration with the Goethe-Institutes Irland and London, as well as partners TüftelLab and Imperial College London, the camp once again successfully combined education, cultural exchange, and international research. It was a week full of inspiration, curiosity, and new friendships.
