Karriere Quantum Camp 2025
The camp was organised in collaboration with our Berlin-based partners TüftelLab. During the camp, they conducted the quantum workshops during which the students and teachers received interesting insights into current developments and creative applications in the field of quantum technologies. In addition, the students also had the opportunity to learn and improve their German language skills. During the interactive German training topics related to quantum technologies were also addressed, thereby building a bridge between the German language and quantum contents.
The programme brings together teachers from many different subjects – not just those teaching physics or STEM. During the students’ German sessions, the teachers took part in the Teacher Ambassadors’ Programme, where they developed quantum-related content to implement into their teaching.
The camp week also included some cultural highlights: On Tuesday, participants explored Sofia’s vibrant street art scene in a Graffiti Tour. The next day, learning German became an adventure as students set off on a city rally, searching for German words in supermarkets and tracking down the Goethe-Institute’s second location.
At the end of the week, the camp concluded with a public closing event. Students and teachers proudly presented their projects and shared the results of their hard work with external guests, from the University of Sofia and beyond, showcasing what they had learned and experienced during the week.
Supported by the German Federal Ministry for Research, Technology and Space, and realised in cooperation with the Goethe-Institutes in Ireland and Bulgaria as well as the project partners TüftelLab, theKarriere Quantumcamp once again succeeded in combining education, cultural exchange, and international research. The result was a week full of inspiration, discovery, and meaningful new connections.
