In October 2018, a painting sold at Christie's Auction House in New York for $432,500. The artist? An algorithm developed by three school friends in their mid-20s. In his lecture, Pierre Fautrel from French artist collective OBVIOUS explores how the painting algorithm works - and whether he believes that artificial intelligence will at some point actually eclipse human creativity.
