The Incredible Child

The Simurgh Children’s Art Workshop is a monthly programme for children aged from nine to fifteen. These include children who live in and around Khirkee, a locality in south Delhi. Many, but not all, are members of the Afghan community who live in the area.

Kahaniyon ki Khirkee

The Incredible Child journey continues. In its second year, the art programme helped the children from the neighbourhood create (or recreate) their own stories. These stories give us a window into the powerful imagination of children, and collectively became the Kahaniyon ki Khirkee, a world constructed of stories
