A human-centric approach to artificial intelligence

Artificial intelligence (AI) holds unique potential – and raises ethical issues that are equally unknown. For this reason, the EU aims to set clear legal guidelines to contain the potential threat of AI. The EU AI Act will soon be passed and is expected to become a global standard, much like the General Data Protection Regulation. What does that mean for you? And how can you manage AI in your organization in a way that is ethically responsibly and ensures success for your business? Our new AI & Ethics Fellowship program provides answers to these questions – with the support of AI experts, in interdisciplinary teams, and with a hands-on approach.

  • become part of a global, interdisciplinary and steadily growing network that brings together perspectives from the Global North and the Global South together on an equal footing,
  • gain awareness of the ethical issues, challenges and potential of AI,
  • enhance your knowledge, learn new methods, and improve your routines for implementing AI,
  • contribute your expertise, apply the theoretical knowledge you have learned to your everyday work, and develop problem-solving strategies,
  • work on your own projects together in the team, and
  • create real value added – for you and for your organization.

Become a fellow. Register now for the 2023 modular online course:

October 6-7 and 20, November 17-18, and December 1, 2023/ times tbc

- Two-day kick-off with keynote presentations and discussions on focus topics (EU AI Act, transparency, bias mitigation, fairness, explainability etc.).
- Monthly online meetings with practical workshops, opportunities for networking and discussions with colleagues.
- Between meetings: Group work on a project with colleagues from your own organization as well as with other fellows, support from our mentors. 
- The program is certified by the University of Bamberg and Goethe-Institut.

Price per person: TBC, covering the program, mentoring and networking events.

To guarantee interdisciplinarity and different global perspectives, we grant discounts on request and award scholarships. Just ask us!
