1997 - 2002 writes monthly zine project "Laughter and the Sound of Teacups"
since 1999 publishes the zine "I am a Camera"
2003 - 2006 studies "Writing and Contemporary Cultures", with Honours, at UTS
since 2006  teaches writing at Macquarie University, Sydney
2007 "Strawberry Hills Forever", a collection of autobiographical writing from Vanessa's zines, published by Local Consumption Publications
2009 

about 120 zines were exhibited as part of the exhibition "Avoiding myth and message: Australian artists and the Literary world", Museum of Contemporary Art, Sydney 

  lives in Sydney
