2020 FESTIVAL SECTIONS

The 24th Berlin & Beyond Film Festival has six programming sections, as curated by Festival Director Sophoan Sorn. Making up the 25 official selections are 14 live-action dramatic feature films, four documentary feature films, seven short-length films.

Showcase features the highly anticipated gala screenings of Opening Night, Centerpiece, Special Presentation, and Closing Night at the legendary Castro Theatre.

  • Youth 4 German Cinema, now in its seventh year, is the selection of two exceptional films for young audiences by a youth jury from the US, Canada, and Mexico.

  • The Windows section goes into the realms of the neighboring German-speaking countries, with this year’s entries from Austria and Switzerland.
