On the Road
On the Road follows two writers from the German Literature Institute in Leipzig as they travel across the United States. Their texts emerge from a space between observation and introspection, revealing how literature takes shape when one opens up to unfamiliar places, people, and perspectives.
Across the following articles, their impressions unfold into literary snapshots: encounters and conversations, reflections on society in the U.S. and Germany, and personal insights that trace the intellectual and emotional routes of a young generation moving through the world – geographically and mentally.
