National Gallery of Arts (NGA)

The National Gallery of Arts (NGA) was founded on 11 January 1954.  
The NGA is a national museum and scientific institution. Its objective is to collect, conserve, study, and promote Albania’s national heritage in the field of visual arts. It also presents a yearly programme of temporary exhibitions which display contemporary art by national and international artists. Inspiring and educating the younger generations to approach the visual arts is an important part of the gallery’s mission. We want everyone to feel part of the extraordinary world of art.

About the educational department and intergenerational programmes 

The education department aims to promote the NGA collection and connect different generations to contemporary art. The NGA interacts with the younger and older generations through a rich educational and public programme, including workshops, guided tours, and artist talks.
