Struggling to survive with increasing fishing restrictions on a paradise coral island of Eastern Malaysia, Indanina, a sea gypsy girl, sees her colorful, innocent world endangered. When she is forced to move to town with her family, she embarks on a brutal transition to an uncaring modern world.

Coming from a background of ethno psychology, Elena Zervopoulou has worked in Paris with immigrant families and as a consultant at UNESCO with street children in Madagascar. She has also worked on several internationally distributed documentaries for ARTE, Discovery, WDR and the History Channel.
