The "European Day of Languages” (September 26th)" is a commemorative day celebrated since 2001 to honor the diversity of languages and cultures in Europe and raise awareness of the importance of language learning while introducing various countries´cultures.
In celebration of this day, from September 29th to October 1st (Sunday), EUNIC JAPAN (the Association of European Union National Institutes for Culture in Japan) and Hiroo Shopping Street Promotion Association will organize the "European Day of Languages in Hiroo Sampo Do-ri 2023" event, where you can experience the languages and cultures of 11 European countries.
The participating countries are Ireland, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Germany, Finland, France, Poland, Portugal, and Lithuania.
During the three days of the event, you can participate in a stamp rally by answering quizzes provided by each country while strolling along Hiroo Shopping Street.
Those who collect stamps from all 11 countries can enter a lottery on October 1st (Sunday) to win novelties that reflect the characteristics of each country.
On this day, you can interact with people from various countries and participate in several activities such as mini-language lessons to help you get acquainted with the different languages.
