An international exhibition featuring artists from Germany, Denmark and China. Through photography and video, it explores the boundaries between documentary and fiction, as well as themes such as memory and cultural identity.

The libraries of the Goethe-Instituts in Japan are open meeting places with a wide range of services: From literature events and materials for learning German to the latesst media.

Visit us

In Japan, we are represented in Tokyo and Kyoto. The Goethe-Institut Tokyo was opened in 1962, followed by the location in Kyoto in 1963. The artist residency Villa Kamogawa has been in existence since 2011.
