Film screening · Concert · Live performance by Blumio In the hall, ground floor
Experience one of the most important classics in the history of animation: The Adventures of Prince Achmed (1926) by Lotte Reiniger, the oldest surviving and also the world’s first feature‑length animated film. With around 250,000 delicate silhouette cutouts, transparent paper, and a stop‑motion camera, Reiniger created a masterpiece that continues to fascinate with its visual elegance and poetic imagery. The film is accompanied by a finely structured and groovy soundtrack created in 2018 by the electronic duo Gebrüder Teichmann and zither player Leopold Hurt. The modern sound design gives this classic a completely new viewing experience.
After the film, talented course participants will present classical music. Passionate performances with various instrumental ensembles will take you on a musical journey.
The evening concludes with an electrifying live performance by Blumio! With his unique rap that blends German and Japanese rhymes, he shakes the hall with energy. Enjoy an unmistakable show by an artist who moves between Germany and Japan.
Sweets & Snack Culture from Germany
In the foyer on the ground floor, a delicious glimpse into German cuisine awaits you: Try freshly prepared snack classics such as currywurst, or treat yourself to typical German sweets from a traditional confectionery.
