Nele Mueller-Stöfen and Edward Berger

Goethe-Institut Nairobi

In this masterclass, renown German director Edward Berger and actor Nele Mueller-Stöfen will talk about collaborative writing and the development of characters and story in series. Furthermore, they will touch on topics such as the importance of an agenda or inner urge to tell your story, the question of creating something from nothing or adapting existing material, and when to make the decision about form and style for your project.
Together, they will also analyse a scene while inviting the audience to an open discussion.

The masterclass is part of an ongoing project of the Goethe-Institut in collaboration with One Fine Day Films and Ginger Ink Kenya. It will be followed by the screening of the highly acclaimed Tv series Patrick Melrose, which was directed by Edward Berger. Buy tickets here.

*The class is open to pre-selected participants only.
