Program Updates
Within & Beyond: Reimagining Art across Distances
The project Within & Beyond: Reimagining Art across Distances, initiated in September, aims to present artistic works that reflect the similarities and differences, among other effects, that arise as a result of distance.
The program brings together eight Myanmar artists and three Myanmar curators currently based in countries such as Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, France, the Czech Republic, and Sweden. Through a series of discussions held until early October, the participants explored the relationships between the program’s overarching theme and the artists’ creative practices.
The program has now entered the production phase, during which the artists are developing their new works. Further updates and related activities will be shared on the Goethe-Institut Myanmar’s online platforms.
