A Tapestry of Personal Stories

Poetry | Short Fiction | Essays | Folktales
Deadline: 31 August 2026, 11:59 PM (Myanmar Standard Time)

As part of the Towards Empathy project, a call for submissions of poetry, short fiction, essays, and folktales is now open to anyone writing in the Myanmar language.

Original writings whether based on personal experience or imagination that explore themes such as migration, identity, gender diversity, generational experiences, education, community, empathy, and mutual understanding are welcome.

We encourage you to share stories that offer meaningful reflections on everyday life and the connections between people.

German Courses Starting in Term 5

In August, the German courses at the Goethe-Institut Myanmar will begin for Term 5.

Start learning the German language systematically at the Goethe-Institut Myanmar! Our German language courses are based on the six levels defined by the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Our courses are thereby internationally recognized and comparable. You can now register for our German courses online anytime, anywhere. For any inquiries, please get in touch with us via info.language.mmr@goethe.de.
