The Mishkal Project, funded by the European Union and managed by the Goethe-Institut and the British Council in Palestine, is launching a special Open Call for Seed Funding to support innovative, multidisciplinary design projects co-produced by European and Palestinian collaborators where the timeless beauty of Palestinian cultural heritage meets the modern designs of the future.
This inaugural design week will focus on the deeply rooted Palestinian traditions, empowering emerging and professional designers to reimagine and reinvent the past through innovative and sustainable designs. This unique opportunity is a platform to showcase works that combine authenticity and creativity and emphasizes the Palestinian identity in innovative and impactful ways.
The selected projects will be part of a cultural event that reflects how spectacular the Palestinian heritage is, showcasing the power of design in shaping the future. Mishkal aims to promote art and culture as a means of preserving Palestinian cultural heritage, strengthening cultural identity, and supporting entrepreneurs and creatives in the fields of art and culture throughout Palestine.
