Creator's Hub

Cultural practitioners and activists found challenges in accessing physical, protected spaces to meet and exchange ideas with other creatives. In 2019, the Goethe-Institut therefore set up the NEXT LEVEL - Art Tech Hub, a public, open and participatory space where the cultural scene can meet a diverse and like-minded people. The network of creatives and cultural players connected and developed projects and co-productions together with high quality and unique technology and equipment. The hub provided them with almost everything needed in the creative process. Workshops and training programes were also held in the hub to further support cultural creation.  The opening of the Art-Tech Hub in Khartoum was followed by the opening of the Art-Tech Hub in Al-Fashir and the establishment of the Women's Hub and the Music Hub in Khartoum.   Due to the outbreak of war on 15th April 2023, the Hubs were forced to close.

    Emad Zakaria

    Emad Zakaria, Hub-Manager ist hauptsächlich in beratender Funktion für Start-Ups in der Darfur Region tätig. Er baut die Kompetenzen und Kapazitäten der Zivilgesellschaft durch Medienberatung und Aufbauprogramme aus.

  • Art-Tech Hub (Khartoum)

    Abdalsalam Alhaj

    Abdalsalam Alhaj, Visual Artist. Er beschäftigt sich mit Media Produktionen vor allem im Bereich des Storytellings durch AR und VR. Auf den Erfolg seines Filmes Night Shift aufbauend, welcher während der Sitzblockaden der Sudanesischen Revolution gezeigt wurde, leitet er die Bewegung der 360 Filme im Sudan.

  • Music Hub

    Tahleel Dafallah

    Tahleel Dafallah, die Managerin, ist Frontsängerin der Frauenband Salute Yal Bannot. Nebenbei arbeitet sie als Songwriterin und Musikproduzentin.
