Leopardi is a wonder child who grows up under his father’s merciless watch in a house that is a library. He reads everything, but the real world stays outside. At the age of 24, he finally leaves Recanati to move to Florence where he gets involved in a sentimental triangle with his friend Antonio Ranieri and the beautiful Fanny. Eventually, he and Ranieri move to Naples where they live out the desperate and vital spectacle of the city until cholera breaks out. The story of a genius, suffering, poetry, love and adventures.
