Urban Music Rebels
After a successful workshop and music collaboration in 2019 at the Ongala Music Festival in Bagamoyo, musicians and producers of urban music styles from Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania – The Urban Music Rebels – are teaming up for another leg of a fanatastic Musical Journey at the Dhow Country Music Academy in Zanzibar in February. The meet-up will further expand and continue to serve as a production platform and revieval of traditional music forms that migrated into modern urban geners such as Singeli here in Tanzania. A showcase concert will conclude the workshop just one day before the kick off of the Sauti za Busara Festival 2020.
