Nam Duy Nguyen is a member of the Saxon state parliament; his parents were contract workers in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). He studied political science and sociology in Leipzig, building a solid academic foundation that, together with his political commitment alongside his studies, paved his way into politics. He became a member of the Left Party (Die Linke) and serves in the Saxony State Parliament, where he focuses on social issues, trade union policy and migration issues. His journey reflects his commitment to standing up for social justice and bringing underrepresented perspectives into politics.
