The 50th anniversary of Vietnam-Germany diplomatic relations

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Germany. Over the past 50 years, the relationship between our two nations has been shaped through cultural exchange, economic and political collaboration, as well as through many personal stories that connect our countries.

To celebrate this anniversary, a broad array of cultural festivities, sports events, as well as career and innovations fairs will highlight the success and diversity of the Vietnamese-German relationship. With these celebrations, we look back at our joint history, but we also focus on the future potential and opportunities in the fields of economy, culture, and politics.

Berlin im Licht - Berlin Rực sángmarks the official opening of the 50th anniversary celebrations and takes place at the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on Friday, February 28, 2025.The concert brings together outstanding talents from Vietnam and Germany, featuring the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet, Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO)under the baton of conductor Lê Ha My, alongside acclaimed artists Katharine Mehrling, Phạm Khánh Ngọc, and pianist Ferdinand von Seebach.The event is presented by the Consulate General of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City, Goethe-Institut Ho Chi Minh City and AHK, in collaboration with Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera.
