Germany and Vietnam are celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations this year. Thuringia and Vietnam have also been closely connected for many years – a good reason to honor this through an event and to provide information about Vietnam and further opportunities for cooperation.

The country offers numerous business opportunities for German companies. The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) facilitates trade between the two regions. Vietnam's strategic location in Southeast Asia also provides access to other ASEAN markets with over 660 million inhabitants.

Moreover, cooperation with Vietnam offers tremendous potential for Thuringia, not only in attracting skilled workers but also in the field of vocational training. Through targeted programs to recruit trainees from Vietnam, companies can secure young talent for various professional fields. This helps promote dual education and contributes to reducing the shortage of skilled workers in the long term.

Vietnam Day 2025 will focus on topics such as market entry and business development in Vietnam, as well as recruiting trainees and skilled workers for Thuringia. Joint projects between Thuringia and Vietnam will also be highlighted, offering an opportunity for exchange with companies, policymakers, and multipliers.
