Having a background in cultural anthropology, photography and film, Nguyễn Phương-Đan moves fluidly between roles as curator, cultural organizer, DJ and producer. In 2021, he founded dispari—a label and platform for sonic publishing and collaboration—presented at spaces like Kunsthalle Münster, Kunstverein München and Meakusma Festival. Since 2006, he also hosts his own club series Gatto Musculoso at Golden Pudel Club in Hamburg. Phương-Đan's DJ-sets are hypnotic blends of rhythm and atmosphere—fearless in mood shifts and rooted in defiant openness. His sound has resonated across clubs like Salon des Amateurs, De School, Robert Johnson or Berghain Säule, and at festivals and institutions alike from Berlin Atonal, Dekmantel to Gropius Bau or c/o Berlin.
